Fellow members,

I have discussed with the committee, points concerning our association, which I believe are of relevance and now I would like to put those suggestions to you for your comments. All relevant comments will be raised at the AGM.

 1.  Committee positions - All positions are available to anyone no matter where you reside.  Any full member wishing to be nominated for ANY committee position, is to apply 2 months prior to the AGM, he is to have  a proposer and seconder, who should attend the AGM. (  I woud like this to come into force immediately)

2.  The sweepstores man post should no longer be a committee duty, it should be conducted by a volunteer.

3.  A 'vacant Billets' board on the front page, so everyone can see what posts are needed to be filled, and who is actually filling the gaps i.e one person holding more than one post. A volunteer is now required to fill the SNI rep positon.

4.  Length of time a person can remain in office, we would need to make sure there is a sufficient cross over period, so not everyone vacates their post at the same time.

5.  Points for Regional reps to discuss at the get togethers, nothing to deep. But the feedback  would keep the committee inform of any concerns or ideas that arise.

6.  A Chairmans 3 monthly dit to all members and to be published on the front page.

7.  Are we an Association who wishes to remain an Association , or do we wish to become more like a business and all that it demands.

8.  Are you keen on using our web page for advertising, we did allow a company to advertise a MW teaching post earlier this year for a nonimal fee,as we saw this as advantageous to you the members. Depending on your response, we would have to take into account the webmasters work load.

9.  Honours Board for past chairmen.

10. You will need to nominate a new Chairman at the next AGM.  In the past as you are aware it was a serving WOMW1, but now you can vote in who you wish. The proposer and seconder should attend the the AGM.

11. Finally I would like to make eveyone aware that there is NO rank structure within the MWA, I have heard that some believe that ex Junior Rates are less thought of, this is complete nonsense, as your chairman I see everyone as a MWA member and not the Rate/Rank they once wore.

I would appreciate your comments by September the 17th.

One point that no-one should ever forget - ITS MEANT TO BE ENJOYABLE!

Yours Aye

Pony
